This project is a pilot case that transfers jurisdiction of this service from the regional water authority to the municipality of Bchaaleh (Batroun). The plant needs $650,000 for completion, upon which it will be able to treat 300 cubic meters per day and serve more than 2500 people. A local NGO, representing the beneficiaries, will execute the project and transfer operations and maintenance to the municipality.
