Project Manager FAQ
There are several benefits to leveraging the PAX platform for your project. Here’s what we provide our project owners:
- Access to donors: PAX is building a community of donors, primarily from the Lebanese diaspora, who believe in the PAX mission and are eager to support projects directly benefiting communities in Lebanon.
- A powerful platform: The mission of the Foundation is enabled by the PAX Exchange, a trusted and secure AI-powered platform that connects you to funders and donors, and provides direct funding for your economic development or public service project.
- The ability to own and drive your project, end to end: The PAX Exchange enables direct funding for projects and programs on the ground in Lebanon, wholly owned and operated by the Lebanese themselves.
The vetting process is intended to ensure that all parties involved in any project stage—from conception through completion—are accountable to what they represent and what they promise to deliver. Our vetting process includes verifying your identity, validating your project to ensure it aligns with our requirements (e.g., has acquired the necessary permits and serves the community).
Projects are monitored in two ways: 1- through regular reporting using automated forms on the platform; 2- by confirming the project implementation schedule and completing all milestones.
Regular audits will be performed through:
- Informal citizen reporters who visit the project site, upload images and provide information that helps track progress
- AI-powered reporting via tools like satellite sweeps of the project site and local news reporting
- Formal site visits and reports at the discretion of the PAX Foundation
The PAX Exchange is open to all, including members of the Lebanese diaspora and institutional donors, who pass our vetting process. For donors, this means verifying identities. For project managers, this means verifying identities and validating projects to ensure they align with our requirements (e.g., have acquired the necessary permits and serve the community).
Those accepting donations or funding can be either individuals or NGOs with an interest in assisting local authorities, whose programs or projects directly benefit communities in Lebanon. Government entities are not eligible to accept donations or funding through the PAX Exchange.
Once a donor has contributed to a project, they gain access to more detailed information as the project cycle evolves. Donors are allowed to provide feedback or suggestions at the Project Proposal stage, and can track progress throughout the project lifecycle. At all project stages, donors can choose how much they wish to be informed and/or involved.
We seek feedback from beneficiaries as part of the project's execution and closing audit. Beneficiaries may also act as citizen-reporters, recording project progression and milestones.
Projects currently on the platform are working to restore public services, public spaces, economic livelihoods, and cultural and communal facilities in Lebanon.
We view economic development as a continuous cycle of growth, and envision the PAX Exchange evolving over time to meet the changing needs of the Lebanese community.
Yes! The PAX Foundation is an independent, non-partisan, non-sectarian organization. Its mission to create economic revival and prosperity could, in the future, be applied to other countries leveraging an Exchange specific to their people and communities.
